SEPTEMBER 20, 2014 –Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas will host the second FIA World Endurance Championship’s (WEC) 6 Hours of Circuit of The Americas in conjunction with the debut of the ISMA TUDOR United SportsCar Championship for what will be a Texas-sized celebration of sports car racing and live music.
The Lone Star Le Mans will feature one of the largest collections of world-class, professional sports car teams and drivers scheduled to race in North America, all in one day. This prestigious new series will include different varieties from the best of international endurance racing, similar to the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans race in France.
Drivers from the FIA WEC and TUDOR Championship series will race back-to-back into the night under the lights for the very first time at Circuit of The Americas. Oh, and did we mention, up to 180 unique sports cars will be on track throughout the weekend, with famous drivers like TV star Patrick Dempsey and former Formula 1™ driver Mark Webber!
FACT: This is the only time both series will compete at the same track on the same day in 2014, and it’s the only North American stop for the FIA World Endurance Championship this year.

Let the Goosebumps begin! Over the course of the weekend, the circuit will be the ultimate Disney Land for fans. Spectators will be able to enjoy unimaginable access, as both the TUDOR Championship and FIA WEC teams open their garages and invite you in to get up close and personal, and yes, the drivers will be there!

But First, A Look Back
In 2013, the American Le Mans Series, presented by Tequila Patrón, and the FIA World Endurance Championship joined forces at the Circuit of The Americas track to bring a festival of Championship racing.
The weekend featured two separate, long distance races; the 8th race in the ALMS on Saturday and round five of “6 Hours of Austin” race on Sunday. The LMP1 class saw accidents and incidents, but the Audi R18 e-tron quattro of Tom Kristensen, Allan McNish and Loïc Duval claimed the top step of the podium.
The LMP2 class provided extremely close and blood pumping racing up until the chequered flag. A second victory of the season went to the No.26 G-Drive Racing ORECA 03 Nissan of Mike Conway, Roman Rusinov and John Martin.
Fred Makowiecki and Bruno Senna put on a dominant display of driving in the No.99 Aston Martin Vantage V8 car to take home victory in LMGTE Pro class, while the LMGTE Am class was also an Aston Martin affair, Jamie Campbell-Walter and Stuart Hall giving the No.96 its second class win of the year. Each class battled until the home stretch was beneath their wheels, and this season is going to be even better!
