2015 Formula 1 Teams and Drivers Confirmed

On March 13, the 2015 Formula One season will officially begin in Melbourne at the Australian Grand Prix! Ever since the 2014 season finale in Abu Dhabi where Lewis Hamilton was declared the victor, fans have been chomping at the bit for the high-speed, engine-roaring action.

COTA ExperiencesWhile I can't speed up the clock to get you to Australia any faster, I can bring you updates to fill your Formula 1 void until the screeching engines return to the circuit.

With that being said, if you've been reading up on the list of confirmed teams and drivers for 2015, it's safe to say you've discovered it is just one big game of musical chairs. And while a few teams are not 100 percent confirmed, a vast majority are.

So rather than keep you in suspense until the final announcement is made, I've decided to bring you the most updated list of 2015 Formula One teams and drivers so you can see where you fandom will align this year if you're partial to a particular driver, or so you can see who will be driving for the team you are a die-hard for.

Without further ado, I give you the 2015 teams and drivers as of Jan. 7!

Main Changes in the Line-Up

Like stated prior, there were quite a few changes in the driver/team line-up between the 2014 and 2015 seasons, comparable to a game of musical chairs. The biggest news was Sebastian Vettel opting to leave Red Bull Racing for Ferrari, taking Fernando Alonso's place. Alonso then being uprooted, made the move to McLaren.

With a seat then open at Red Bull, the team chose to fill the position with rookie, Daniil Kvyat.

Sauber is having a completely refreshed start, trading out Esteban Gutierrez and Adrian Sutil for Marcus Ericsson and Felipe Nasr. Toro Rosso also has a full new line-up.
