What a weekend we had in Austin, Texas. From the intense race between Hamilton and Rosberg to the wonderful weather Texas provided this year, we couldn’t have asked for a better weekend for the FORMULA ONE UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX™. As some of you may know we held a giveaway through our social media channels this year for 2 free tickets to the race weekend - and those of you who didn’t know make sure to check out QuintEvents on Facebook and Twitter to catch all the latest contest information. Read the story about our winner and his time at the F1™ USGP, as well as short race recap for those that might have missed out.
F1™ USGP Social Media Giveaway Winner
We held a contest across our social media pages spanning over a couple months to find one lucky winner to receive two ticket packages, which included hospitality passes, for the F1 USGP™ weekend. This year our winner was Michael Garay. Michael’s tickets were located at Turn 1, a great view looking down to the start line and seeing all the action as the cars hit their stride coming into Turn 1. Just an easy walk down the hill to Legends Club, Michael had access to the premium hospitality venue at Circuit of The Americas™. From gourmet food options, such as taco and sushi bars to premium beverages, live TV coverage and driver interviews, COTA Experiences Legends Club was the place to be. Michael said “I’m so blessed! Thank you QuintEvents for such an AMAZING experience! The most sought after seats… great food and hospitality… Alexander Rossi interview… what a weekend!!! I’m forever grateful!”. We were certainly glad we could give him an unforgettable race weekend, and look forward to more in the future!
F1™ USGP Race Recap
Dominating all weekend, Lewis Hamilton found himself at the top spot once again at Circuit of The Americas™. What should be deemed his course at this point, Hamilton saw record times throughout the practice rounds to set himself up for an amazing Grand Prix. From the start into Turn 1, the British Mercedes driver dominated the track ahead of teammate and current points leader Nico Rosberg. Although he didn’t come in first, Rosberg finished second by battling it out throughout the course with both Red Bull’s Daniel Ricardo, who would join Hamilton and Rosberg on the podium as third, and Sebastian Vettel who races under team Ferrari. As seasoned veterans, do, Hamilton and Rosberg wrapped up their weekends and headed out to the Gran Premio de Mexico for another battle, which we might add ended in a similar way.
